The Pregnancy Nurse (Hilary Erickson RN-BSN) firmly believes that healthcare providers are the best reference for health information vs AI information.
However, I want to be really honest about how we do and do NOT use it within The Pregnancy Nurse brand.
While AI has been used on this site prior to 2025’ish to help with SEO in content creation (mainly article writing) that is no longer the case. All articles since then are entirely written by Hilary Erickson, RN-BSN. Mostly because Google somehow hates me so I’m over it.
While research is often done via Google by Hilary (often when I can’t remember the name of something or how to spell it, and obviously to look up studies) — you can be sure that the information comes from the heart of a nurse ❤️ not a computer 🤖.
What I do use AI for:
We do use AI from time to time to create images, more often on social media. We try to use stock imagery on this site where possible (which is most often).
AI is used to for things mainly computers read — pin descriptions, Youtube description optimization, etc.
I do use AI at some points for marketing… and some emails from me may have AI assistance… but I’m working to lessen that.
I don’t read scripts on Youtube — I outline each topic on my own. 🍀 I am lucky that I have so much experience in both creating videos and labor and delivery that I can speak to that very easily on my own.
I sometimes use AI to help me make a good title, or find a new angle on a topic that has done well previously. But, I outline the topic and speak from my experience plus my mother heart to give you the best information quickly.
The Pregnancy Nurse® is entirely run by Hilary.
As with any business in this day and age, I am learning how I can use it help me reach more families, but also keep what’s most important — me, my experience and translating what the data can mean for YOU.
I honestly don’t believe AI can do that. It takes the heart of an experienced nurse, like me, and pregnant families deserve that. That is literally why I’m here and get up and do this every day!
